Gan Yeladim Day Care Centre has been at home at 100 Elder Street for more than 47 years, serving as the heart of our community and the foundation of our childcare program. Nestled within Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue, our Elder Street campus has been a place where thousands of children have taken their first steps into learning, friendship, and Jewish community life.
Over nearly five decades, Elder Street has been more than just a location—it has been a second home for families across North York. Generations of parents have entrusted us with their children, many returning years later with their own little ones. Our classrooms, hallways, and playground have witnessed countless milestones: first words, first friendships, first challah braids, and first steps into independence.
Our long partnership with Beth Emeth has allowed us to grow in a warm, supportive environment deeply connected to the neighbourhood. Together, we have built a space where children feel safe, loved, and inspired every day.
As we prepare for our next chapter, Elder Street remains a symbol of our history, our values, and our commitment to exceptional childcare. It is the place where Gan Yeladim became a community institution—and where thousands of families began their journey with us.
