Gan Yeladim Daycare Centre is a warm, community‑focused childcare centre offering a play‑based program enriched with Jewish values and traditions. We are seeking experienced RECE educators to join our Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten classrooms.
Our educators are responsible for accurate attendance record‑keeping, weekly observations and documentation, program planning, and supporting daily classroom operations alongside our regular staff. Educators must be available to work up to an 8‑hour shift between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs
- Maintain accurate attendance and documentation
- Observe, document, and communicate children’s learning
- Ensure compliance with CCEYA and centre policies
- Support daily routines and collaborate with team members
- Use Lillio (formerly HiMama) to document learning and communicate with families
Qualifications – Must Have
- Police Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector)
- First Aid and CPR‑C certification
- Up‑to‑date immunizations, including TB test
- Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of AQI requirements
- Excellent understanding of the CCEYA
- Clear understanding and implementation of How Does Learning Happen?
- Strong understanding of child development
Beneficial (or willingness to learn)
- Familiarity with Lillio/HiMama or similar childcare communication platforms
- General comfort with technology and digital documentation
- Knowledge of Jewish culture, holidays, and traditions
- Hebrew language skills
